DiGM is a partner in Dance Northwest, the National Dance Agency for the region. Other partners are Merseyside Dance Initiative, Ludus Dance and Cheshire Dance.

Dance Northwest is part of a national network of agencies, which exist to support, promote and foster dance activity for all ages, abilities and cultures. The organisation comprises 4 Directors, (each from one of the 4 regional agencies), an Administrative Manager and Project Co-ordinators. DNW runs a professional programme for dance artists at all stages of their careers, which facilitates and supports the creation of new work and which supports career development. The projects include:

Xposure! a triple bill tour of new work by dance artists commissioned by Dance Northwest (currently undergoing new development)

Nexus an annual networking and exchange day for dance artists and
Nexus Debates an ongoing series of half day sessions which follow up the issues raised by Nexus itself

X-tra a series of career focused workshops for dance artists

Exploratorium, a choreographic laboratory for professional dance artists

Go See Go Be a bursary for Northwest artists to see work and represent the region at events nationally and abroad (currently suspended)

African People’s Dance programme; activity, performance and
participation throughout Greater Manchester and Merseyside, focusing
specifically on the traditional African and Caribbean dance forms. To be fully managed from summer 06 by DiGM and MDI
