Dance Manchester were part of Manchester Day once again! After leading the parade in 2015 in front of 70,000 people, outdoor specialists Walk the Plank and Dance Manchester joined forces once more to bring you a bigger & better Manchester Day 2016.

Derby High School & Wright Robinson College performed the Stellarium piece at Great Northern Square, in front of a large & appreciative crowd.

Last year, over 70,000 visitors from across the region experienced this free-outdoor annual spectacle, bringing colourful and artistic vibrancy to a city with a rich cultural legacy. Dance Manchester have specialised in outdoor dance for a number of years; exemplified by their free-biennial Urban Moves International Dance Festival, taking place in different outdoor-areas of Manchester City Centre; bringing incredible, unpredictable performance to the streets of the city. Outdoor performance celebrates the cityscape & architecture of a city, and Manchester Day does just that.
